The Gold occurrence is located west of More Lake.

The area is underlain by quartz-feldspar porphyry granite of the Jurassic Hazelton Group.

Mineralization consists of disseminated pyrite with localized quartz-chalcopyrite veins within a volcanic roof pendant.

In 1990 and 1991, Koala Resources completed programs of airborne electromagnetic and magnetic surveys, geological mapping, and geochemical sampling. Grab sampling of the vein returned up to 4.14 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 21086).
